Mad coyote pounced on a woman in the state of New York

In Kingsbury, New York, a coyote attacked a woman while walking along a canal.
The incident occurred on Wednesday, 16 August, reports Associated Press.
According to police, the predator attacked the victim right on the trail and bit her arm and leg. The woman had to jump into the canal to escape from the animal. She reached the nearest house, where she asked for help. Authorities note that a woman is currently recovering at Albany Hospital.
According to the Washington County Sheriff's Office, the next day, Thursday, a coyote was shot by an environmental officer. At the same time, the predator showed a positive result for rabies.
Anyone who may have suffered from a coyote are advised to call the sheriff’s office.
