The family could not even imagine that in the queue for the keys from the pre-booked cabin, Emily would not just be detained, but also escorted from the liner accompanied by armed guards, writes The Daily Mail.
The “violation” of the young woman was that she is 25 weeks pregnant. Despite the fact that Emily had written permission from the attending physician, the guards refused to let her on board and take her on the trip.
At first, the “culprit” tried to somehow sort out the problem and asked that the rest of the family be allowed to go on the cruise, but the whole family was expelled from the ship in a very rude manner, after which they had to wait several hours for the luggage, which had already been loaded on a cruise ship.
The shocked mother was amazed at this treatment and wrote in her blog about what happened, especially outraged by the behavior of the guards: "It's funny for them, they smile." Representatives of the cruise organizer contacted her and promised to return the funds spent on the cruise, but refused to compensate the air tickets that the family bought for the trip to Miami:
“Women who are more than 24 weeks pregnant are not allowed on board, as stated on the website Disney Cruise Line and in the documents that guests receive before departure, ”the company said.
Also in Disney clarified that the Miami Police Department is responsible for the behavior of the guards, whose representatives acted "as was appropriate in this situation." However, the public is outraged by the “frightening ways” of treating a pregnant woman who was not aware of the corresponding prohibitions.
