The problem of university tuition fees in the United States has become so serious that students are increasingly turning to a nontraditional approach, writes Business Insider... They choose rich daddies for themselves through dating sites to pay for their studies. So called Sugar babies come into contact with wealthy men, usually older than themselves, who are willing to spend money on young girls (and sometimes boys).
In 2016, about 2,5 million “sweet babes” were identified on popular dating sites in the US. In return for payment, the "kids" go to dinner at restaurants, accompany their "daddies" at events, in some cases the terms of the agreement include physical intimacy. Site owners SeekingArrangement.com decided to use it as a marketing ploy, targeting college students who need to pay loans.
Americans now owe more than $ 1,3 trillion to the government and private lenders for their education. According to representatives of the site, some men really try to make noble gestures and help for free, but not everyone does this. The annual income of "daddies" on the site is 250 thousand US dollars, and the average net worth is 1,5 million dollars. For students, club membership starts at $ 20.
The students themselves, who use the services of “daddies”, believe that if this does not harm anyone, then there is nothing wrong with such a choice. “People’s opinions will not help me finish my studies,” one of the “sweet kids” told reporters.
