American woman in a coma after a trip to Mexico for cheap rhinoplasty

A Texas real estate agent has fallen into a coma due to serious brain damage after a budget operation to change the shape of the nose in Mexico. The operation was extremely unfortunate.
36-year-old Laura Avila is still fighting for her life after unsuccessful rhinoplasty, but her family made the painful decision to transport the woman to the hospice service last Friday, writes New York Post.
“After much agony and worries, our family moved Laura to a more comfortable place,” wrote sister Angie Avila on her GoFundMe page. "Laura is resting calmly, and her fate is in the hands of God."
On October 30, Laura, a Dallas realtor and dancer, traveled to Juarez, Mexico, with her fiancé for plastic surgery. The procedure in this country was cheaper than in the United States, the woman's sister said.
That day, the couple arrived at the Rhino clinic around noon, but something went wrong after administering anesthesia.
“They injected anesthesia into the spine - and the drugs somehow got into the brain, which caused severe swelling,” the sister said.
Laura spent eight hours in the ward. Bridegroom Enrique Cruz was informed that her pressure had dropped and therefore could not perform the operation.
“I was upset and worried because they wouldn't let me see her,” Cruz admitted.
In the end, the doctors told the family that Avila also experienced cardiac arrest within four minutes.
“They say her brain is so badly damaged that she will never be our Laura again,” Angie says. "They told us that she would never be able to walk, eat or talk again."
Laura Avila spent four days in a Mexican hospital. The family wanted to transport it to the United States, but could not do it until the full bill at the medical facility was paid. They also could not get Avila’s medical records to find out exactly what happened.
