But despite the fact that Jordan fulfilled all the recommendations of the doctors, she noticed that the girl was weakening and losing weight for some unknown reason. At the age of four weeks, Lucy had sunken eyes and cheeks, her skin lost its elasticity and was yellowed, while the girl weighed less than at birth.
The doctor told her that her mother's milk most likely did not contain enough calories, after which the dejected mother turned to a lactation specialist, who instantly determined the real reason - the baby had short frenulum of the tongue and lips, which did not allow the baby to fully capture the breast and extract from it milk.
Previously, the mother who read about such problems already asked the pediatrician to examine the child’s mouth, but he did not find the problem. A breastfeeding specialist referred Jordan to a doctor who dissects the bridle, which allows the tongue and lip to move fully.
Taking into account the difficult situation, the operation was carried out the next day. Jordan was able to immediately feed the baby - and it turned out that the girl can suckle, and the mother no longer experiences pain. Lucy began to gain weight and her skin condition improved significantly in just a month.
