Despite the fact that doctors constantly warn parents about the contents of the crib, moms and dads invariably surround children with soft blankets and plush toys for “comfort”, risking their lives.
18-month-old baby from Dundee, Scotland, suffocated in her own bed, buried in a teddy bear, which her mother Dexie put in the bed so that the child would not fall out through the bars, writes New York Post.
One day she went into the room of a child and found her beloved Connie Rose dead in a crib, a large teddy bear was lying on top of the baby. Apparently, the toy just fell on the sleeping child and blocked the access of air. The shocked woman herself wrote about this on Facebook to warn other parents.
“I want every parent to see this and be afraid of it. Better to let them fall, don't try to fill small gaps with soft things, leave them empty. "
Dexie said that the older daughter simply loved to fill the bed with bears, plush animals, she likes the princess curtains. But with the youngest it did not work the most tragic way.
“They don't need anything other than a sheet. You don't even need a pillow. I really hope that the tragic story of my little princess will save someone's life. ”
As the inconsolable mother admits, she cannot get rid of the thoughts “what if…”, thinking that if she had removed the unfortunate bear, the child could have survived.
