Kaitlyn Yosvyak from Macon, Georgia, was found dead in a filthy room surrounded by parasites. The police arrested her parents, 38-year-old Joey Yosvyak and 37-year-old Catherine Horton. They are charged with second degree murder.
According to the investigation, the cardiac arrest occurred as a result of severe anemia, which was probably caused by repeated bites.
Special Agent Ryan Hilton of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation claims that police officers who arrived at the scene on August 27 found the "worst" lice infestation ever seen. Parasites swarmed over the child's mattress, her stuffed animals and furniture.
