I love my kitties more than anything and fortunately they're absolute best buds too! I have @comfortzonepets to thank for that too because believe it or not "Blue" and "Willy" didn't get along at all when I first introduced them to each other. Initially there was hair-raising, hissing and growling, oh my. Comfort Zone's diffusers release pheromone signals into the air to make our cats more comfortable and this can be especially beneficial for multi-cat households with cats that may not get along or are urinating inappropriately (aka outside of the litter box) or excessively clawing & scratching up furniture. Here's 3 helpful tips for cat owners: 1. Provide adequate litter boxes by taking the number of cats you have and add +1 (i.e. 2 cats should have 3 boxes). 2. Offer at least 1 scratching post per cat but more is better. 3. Plug in @comfortzonepets pheromone diffusers, they legit help most households and I always have 2+ plugged in at all times 😉. #cats #crazycatman #ad #pheromones #catsarethebest #ifyoudon'tlikecatsyouhaven'tmettherightone;) #DerpFang

In Southern #California we can see #Foxtail drama year round! This was my first patient of the day and he came in for acute onset (=all of the sudden) intense sneezing and some epistaxis (= bleeding from the nose) and no other clinical signs. I sedated this handsome Huskie with dexmedetomidine 0.008 mg/kg + butorphanol 0.2 mg/kg (my routine sedation drug protocol FYI) and utilized an otoscope to visualize his turbinates located inside his nares (= nostrils) and grabbed with alligator forceps. An otoscope is designed for ears (hence “oto,” Latin for ear) primarily, but as a vet there’s value in thinking outside the box and we were lucky to locate & remove the foxtail foreign body without bustin out the rhinoscopy unit which is far more expensive and requires full anesthesia. Not to be graphic but I’ve put an otoscope in just about every orifice on an animal, that’s just #vetlife my friends. I know that most of the rest of the country isn’t dealing with plant foreign bodies as the US is apparently an arctic tundra at the moment, lol, but wanted to share an interesting case🤓. Stay warm my fellow Americans ❄️ ⛄️ 😬 #vet #veterinary #dog #scope #cantbeatourweather #evenwithfoxtailsandfires #akaplantbasedboogers 🤧#isitobviousimnotamorningperson😅

Another baby that killzzzz me 🥰. I had the pleasure of meeting “Mickey” the black rhino at the @rhinopridefoundation a couple months ago in South Africa. He shares the same story as most orphaned rhino-his mother was murdered by poachers and he was left for dead. FYI this rhino species is critically endangered and there’s only a couple thousand left in all of Africa. For those that don’t know, 5-8 rhinos are killed every day in Africa for their horns. Some people in certain Asian counties, particularly China and Vietnam, believe the rhino’s horn can cure illnesses such as the flu, impotence and cancer. No scientific evidence has ever supported such nonsense. But one of the most messed up things regarding modern TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) is that some sellers of rhino horn are actually cutting in medications that will cure their problems i.e. putting powdered viagra mixed into powdered rhino horn. The consumer now believes that the horn of a rhino got him hard. This only fuels this dark industry. There’s several steps and people involved with getting horns from African rhinos to consumers in Asia and they all have 1 priority in common, money. If we want to protect these rhino SOMETHING needs to change. There’s unlikely a perfect solution but maybe it’s time to legalize international trade of rhino horn?? That’s a lengthy, complicated discussion but def one worth considering… #rhino #wildlife #conservation #southafrica #africa #saveourrhino

Эван обожает свою работу, но у него есть и другие интересы: в свободное время он подрабатывает моделью и персональным тренером. А в прошлом году Антин попробовал себя в бизнесе и запустил линию средств для ухода за домашними питомцами Happy Pet.
